Here is some of the food the people were eating.  Bongo looked for bananas but could not find any.  So he decided to smell the nice orchids.

 They smelled good enough to eat, but Mr. Jim said that might taste good at first, but that later it would not be fun.  Bongo was confused, but took his advice.
