Germany - June 2009

Bongo had a good look at the Carboniferous Westphalian C and Westphalian D sandstone in the Schwabe Quarry.  It looked to him like they were fluvial channel, point-bar sediments fining upwards to flood-plain claystone deposits and coal layers.

The flowers (foxgloves) were nice too.
