Bongo took a closer look and saw that the Upper Cretaceous limestone was well layered in strata of approximately 30-80 cm thick units, with layering displaying Milankovic cycles. The tilting was the result of later Alpine tectonic activity. 

Bongo thought the permeability was really bad too.
